Delivery Procedure


The day before delivery is scheduled to be made; Truss Form will contact yourselves to inform you of the pending delivery, indicating whether it is intended to be in the morning or afternoon. We cannot give an exact time.


Delivery will normally be made on a rigid wagon of approximate size 10.97m x 2.74m (36ft x 9ft). It is your responsibility to provide suitable access for the delivery lorry, level hard-standing for unloading and if applicable, the provisions for the safe separation of pedestrians from the delivery and off-loading process.


Please ensure that you have appropriate mechanical unloading equipment and trained operator on site, or sufficient manpower to off-load the delivery vehicle. If off-loading the vehicle by hand, please refer to the individual weights indicated on the profile drawings to enable you to comply with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations.


Whilst on site, the safety of the delivery driver shall be your responsibility. However, the delivery driver shall be empowered to refuse to off-load if any aspect of the safe working method is contravened such that health and safety is compromised.


UNLOADING THE VEHICLE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, HOWEVER THE DRIVER MAY ASSIST WHERE IT IS SAFE TO DO SO


UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL THE DRIVER BE AUTHORISED TO OFF-LOAD THE VEHICLE THEMSELVES
